Meet Founder And Maker Kristin Brown
I spent over a decade working in the natural products industry in Hawaii with a focus on the healing power of medicinal plants, organic foods, and environmental sustainability—a career path that embedded in me a healthy, conscious consumer ethos. During my years spent in the Hawaiian Islands—amidst awe-inspiring natural beauty—I learned the deeper meaning of Aina (land) and the utmost importance of our connection to it. It’s why I created a business that’s mindful of the planet and its inhabitants.
And as a mother, my desire to make a positive impact has increased—as I teach my daughter the virtue of service, health, expression, and environmental stewardship. All of these influences led me to fully immerse in the creation of Imbued. With the help of Factory45, I was able to take Imbued from idea to launch in 2019 through a crowdfunding campaign. Not long after that, I quit my 12-year corporate job in the wellness industry to pursue this vision.
The magnetic pull to build an impactful brand with a creative mission led Imbued to the art of natural dye with a circle back to wellness. Designing sustainably, ethically made apparel was my initial goal, but Imbued evolved as I merged my love for natural fibers with my passion for plant dyes and health. I now enjoy facilitating events that focus on creativity, wellness, and building community. Creating experiences that evoke a natural buzz!
